GERALDTON TO PERTH - 19 DECEMBER TO 31 DECEMBER 2015

So at last the van is all fixed and we can start the journey back down to Perth. The kids at a hot roadside picnic table to break up the long journey south.

We visit Yanchep national park and walk the circular 12.4 km hot dusty walk around the drying lake. The longest walk the girls have ever done.

Parked up at Back to Nature campground for a couple of days in the middle of nowhere from where we visited Yanchep National Park.

Next stop the pretty town of Toodyay with it's old ornate buildings.

Stopping for a beer at the Freemason's Hotel in Toodyay.

And we finally make it to Perth just in time for Christmas and some urgent Christmas shopping!
Christmas Eve in the caravan and it's oysters and prawn cocktails for dinner.

Christmas day at Advent Caravan Park and we put our table on to a nice grassy area for Christmas day traditional Cox family breakfast of ham and eggs. (The Huber amongst us sticks with fruit in a bowl!)

Toby and the girls getting excited as they see how many presents Santa left at our caravan. Toby's first Christmas.

We picked a shady spot under a tree to open the presents as the temperature was now climbing over to 30.c.

Toby's new outfit picked out by Dad yesterday. Blue of course!!

The girls theme this year is the film Frozen as we watched it all together yesterday afternoon in the caravan.

To cousin Terry's for Christmas day lunch. Having a bit of trouble opening the crackers!

Inside the cracker was a great game with each cracker having either a wind up Santa, Reindeer or Christmas tree that we all raced on a board to the centre to be the winner.

Stopping at Kings Park one evening for a late picnic. The city of Perth lit up behind us.

Because Sara (Cousin Terry's daughter) and Jason her fiance couldn't make it for Christmas day we all met up a few days later for another Christmas meal. Prawn cocktail starters.

Afterwards it's games time with the racing Santas and a game of  Jenga. I would like to point out that Ayla 6 and Kyra 4 years old both managed to pull their bricks out successfully. However...Jason was a little heavy handed.

New Year's Eve we went into Perth city for the day hoping to track down some fireworks. We stopped for lunch at the tasty Annalakshmi restaurant where you only pay what you can. Little bit spicy for the girls.

                                                                 But what a table view!

Then a trip across the river Swan in this boat. Hands up whose good looking.

The girls posing with Perth city in the background as the end of the year approaches. What will the new year bring and where will we settle down? The end of our trip is in sight.
